Bag's...bag's...bag's....

Ok....I have officially decided that my favorite knitting project is knitting and felting bags! I love the way they look after they have been felted, and I love how strong and sturdy the bags are. I also love that they are easy to do (just your basic knit stitch on circular needles), and that there is really no pattern required....each bag is truely unique! Here are a few more bags that I created. The first bag was made for my co-workers sister for her birthday. The pink and brown bag with the leather handles was a gift for my sisters birthday. And the last bag pictured, the colorful bag with the diamon pattern, was a gift for my mother on Mother's Day. I need to get busy knitting some more!

Happy Fall!!! Time for cool weather, pumpkins, apple cider, hayride & football! Speaking of football, my dear friend LaDonna asked me to knit her a hat and scarf to wear to the Minnesota Gopher football games! Her son plays on the team and LaDonna attends every game, and she knows how chilly it can get up there in the stands in the autumn in Minnesota! I knitted her a chunky, warm maroon & gold hat and scarf! Look how cute she looks! Go Gophers!

Here are 2 more hats that I made for the store at the White Bear Hockey arena (I am going there tomorrow to check out the store!). I like these hats....I left the pom poms and tassles off....thought it might be good to have a few basic hats. Tonight I started working on a bag that I am going to felt in the orange/white/black color scheme. I love the way the bags look when they are felted, and they are so strong and sturdy! Went to the fabric store today.....I can waste so much time looking at yarn! I love to look at the different colors and textures....it's almost calming for me. Have a great weekend!

Happy New Year! I can't believe how quickly the holidays flew by! We had a wonderful Christmas (even though we were in the middle of a snow storm!), and had a nice quiet new years at home with the kids! I recently knit this darling hat (my mom calls it a "Heidi" hat because of the earflaps)and scarf for my sweet niece Olivia's 10th birthday. I guess she just loves it! I will need to get a picture of her wearing them when we travel to Iowa in February. I am glad it is keeping her warm!
