Today I went to "Finches Holiday Boutique" and found some wonderfully unique holiday gifts for my friends and family! If you don't yet have your holiday shopping done you should stop by! I have the link here on my blog site.

I knitted some cute little dishcloths which are great gifts for Christmas! They are knitted with 100 % cotton and are so easy and quick to knit up! They are really fun little projects.

Hope everyone has a fabulous weekend!

Another cute hat! Love the different patterns and stripes in this one!

Hello again! It has been a while since I have blogged, but I have good reason as I have been very busy knitting! A few weeks ago I was asked to knit some items for a store that my husbands cousin is opening. I was so excited, so I got busy right away and created 3 cute hats and 3 cute scarves. The store is in a sports arena, so I knitted in the teams colors which are orange, black, and white. I think they all turned out really cute! I made "pom poms" for one of the scarfs and one of the hats, and think they are so sweet! I just love to knit with chunky yarn....it makes it so easy to complete projects quickly.
I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving. I traveled to Iowa and spent the holiday with my family and had a wonderful time!

I finished the bag I was working on for my friends birthday! It turned out really nice! I love the way felted pieces look, and I really like the color combination on this bag. I hope she likes it....next week is her birthday!

Here are some pics of the scarfs I will be selling at the boutique in December. Some are thick and chunky & others are soft & silky. I recently started knitting scarfs in a "seed" stitch pattern and absolutely love how they are looking! Today is an absolutely beautiful day up here in Minnesota! Sun is shining, the air is crisp and cool, and the wind is blowing around an array of beautifully colored fall leaves! I love this time of year so much...if only it would last longer!

Had a wonderful weekend with my family. My parents, sisters and their families were up for the weekend to attend & celebrate my daughter, Corrahs', Confirmation at church. I love it when we are all together....wish we all lived closer so we could see each other more often. Because of all the guests, I didn't get much knitting done...but we did manage to draw names for Christmas, and I got 2 of my little nieces so I think I am going to knit & felt them cute little purses. My niece Ella likes the color yellow, while my other niece Cecilia prefers blues, and greens. I am going to make some cute little flowers as embellishments for the purses. I can already envision them in my head! Hope they actually turn out as cute! Here is a picture of Corrah on her big day....I am so proud of her! Congratulations Corrah!

Spent the weekend trying to learn to crochet. A friend at work showed me the basics, but I am really having a hard time getting the hang of it. I guess I just need to keep trying. Woke up again to snow this morning....it is so pretty! Here are a few pics of our early October snow!

Last night I finished the bag I was knitting for my friends birthday. I put it in the washer to felt it and it turned out fabulous! Right now it is drying, and then the last step will be to sew the handles on. I can't wait to give it to her!!! I wil get a pic posted as soon as I am done!

Woke up to the ground covered with snow this morning! Kind of early for that....even in Minnesota! I love it though! It looks so pretty outside.....all the dead plants in my garden look so lovely with a light coat of snow on them!

I took some pics of projects I have finished and am still working on. Scarves.....silky & soft, and thick 'n chunky.....baby hats......dish cloths.....and a bag that is still in the works. I am knitting this with wool yarn and will felt it when it is done! It's a gift for a friends upcoming birthday! I will post a pic of it when it is finished!

Ok....am trying to get the hang of this....finally got my profile picture on! Now I need to get some pics of my knitting projects on here! Here is a pic of my children & nephew (in the middle) wearing hats that I knitted last winter. Spent all day cleaning my children's rooms....they were completely out of control. Don't do that very often, but it had gotten to a point where I just couldn't stand it anymore. Now maybe tomorrow I can get some knitting done once they get off to school! :)

Ok....so I haven't posted ANYTHING since February!!! I will try to be better. I am now on FaceBook, though, and am very good at wasting a lot of time on there. Didn't do a whole lot of knitting over the summer....we were crazy busy with a huge kitchen "gut" & remodel. Have started knitting more, though, this past month. I am obsessed with wool yarn! Love to knit cute bags and then "felt" them! I am currently busy knitting scarves for a Holiday Boutique that I will be participating in again. Last year the sale was really successful for me! All of my scarves sold! Hope I have the same luck this year! If I can figure it out, I will try to get the link to the Boutique and some pictures on here soon!

So, today I am starting my journey into the cyber world! My children would be so proud of me - for they already have MySpace accounts, Facebook accounts and would spend mindless hours on YouTube (if their mom would allow it!) I decided to start this blog to share stories of my life, and love of knitting with my many friends and family, whom I dearly love and cherish, but unfortunately live too many miles away from to see on a regular basis. I hope to get photo's of my knitted projects posted on here soon, so keep watching for those! By the way....today it February 14th....so Happy Valentine's day to all!
